Truphone's future proof technology enables kia connected car
Truphone has been selected by The Plan B Company to provide connectivity for KIA's connected car programme. The solution will be installed in several thousand cars across Europe in 2017, with more countries to follow.
Truphone's patented multi-IMSI eSIM technology paired with The Plan B Company's hardware and software will initially allow KIA's cars to provide car health information to the driver. Future phases will include location-based services, such as finding and paying for parking, and integration with other services like home appliances or partnerships with other suppliers.
