Global tech leader Truphone partners with Iminente to bring technology to art festival
Truphone announces its partnership as main sponsor and technological partner of Festival Iminente, which runs from 7 to 10 October, 2021.
Truphone, a global leader in connectivity technology, with its R&D hub and CEO based in Portugal, announces its partnership as main sponsor and technological partner of Festival Iminente, which runs from 7 to 10 October, 2021.
Truphone and Iminente share a vision of creativity and innovation and are collaborating around one of the country's first post-pandemic cultural events, to bring a unique combination of technology and art for the first time to Iminente’s world-renowned cultural festival.
Truphone is a leader in the exploding global connectivity revolution, providing innovative solutions from vaccination trackers, to smart cities, to the coming exponential growth of eSIM in connected devices. A future unicorn ($bn business), Truphone is recognized as having the most complete eSIM platform and global network, making Truphone one of the few players globally who will drive the take up of 2.5bn eSIMs by 2025 (GSMA data).
The goal of the partnership with Iminente is to inspire more people into technology and show how technology can be creative, as well as raise awareness of Truphone’s major technology presence and growth as an employer in Portugal.
'We are driving one of the biggest global technology shifts from the talent of our major R&D team here in Portugal. We are expanding and want to encourage more technology talent in the country, so we have partnered with Iminente to make this a reality. We share the same values to disrupt and innovate, and the partnership reflects not only our commitment to technological innovation, but also to the local community.' – says Ralph Steffens, CEO of Truphone. 'At the same time, this partnership helps people understand Truphone is a technology company with an exciting and growing presence in Portugal, that is always searching and open to new talents and creative minds.'– he concludes.
Truphone will be undertaking several workshops with children on Alta de Lisboa, partnering with Associação de Moradores do PER11 & Fundação Aga Khan, with the aim of familiarising them with technology and programming language. Co-creating a unique artwork with the renowned artist Mariana, A Míseravel (@marianaamiseravel) the children's work will be displayed at the Festival.
For Romain Trevisan, CEO of Iminente, the partnership with Truphone is completely natural. ‘For Iminente it is a privilege to have, for the first time, a forward-thinking enterprise like Truphone sponsoring the Festival and co-creating the socially-minded workshops with a unique and unprecedented mix of tech and art, that will also be on display during the festival. Iminente is a platform that fosters equality, freedom and connection, and technology is now undoubtedly a central part of this. As a brand that is revolutionising connectivity and breaking boundaries, Truphone is aligned with the Festival’s values and the benefits of this partnership are real for both parties.’
