TextMe users can now benefit from Truphone’s global connectivity and eSIM solutions

From initial development to go live: Truphone Connect product rolled out in eight short weeks

Today, Truphone announces its partnership with TextMe to bring seamless eSIM connectivity to its app customers using Truphone Connect.

In 2018, Truphone launched the world’s first end-user App to offer global connectivity via eSIM. Today, its recently launched Truphone Connect platform enables partners to offer similar functionality in their own apps and channels. This has allowed TextMe to integrate this technology with a simple set of APIs and an SDK via the Truphone Connect platform and be up and running with eSIM in just a matter of days.

Truphone Connect is Truphone’s state-of-the-art platform for enabling companies to bundle Truphone’s connectivity and eSIM technology with their existing products.

TextMe, an app-based solution which provides its users with a real phone number and unlimited calling and texting in the US and Canada, will now be able to offer data plans – powered by Truphone’s connectivity – in some of the world’s most popular destinations, including the USA and Europe.

Having begun development with Truphone in March 2020, TextMe was up and running and able to deliver connectivity services to its clients by May—in a total turnaround time of just eight short weeks.

TextMe’s customers can now download global data plans from the App Store at the touch of a button and are able to make use of cutting-edge eSIM technology which is fast becoming the primary method of connecting mobile devices. Every Apple iPhone since 2018 has been eSIM-enabled.

This eSIM technology means that TextMe’s global customer-base can use the TextMe app anywhere in the world, without the usual hefty roaming fees. No switching SIM cards, no need to rely on WiFi—just click and connect.
